The City of Arts and Sciences will be showing the world Fernando Alonso in his new single-seater of the McLaren Mercedes motor-racing team on 15th January.

Valencia will be raising the curtain in order to show the world the new McLaren Mercedes MP4-22 model with which the twice-champion racing driver, Fernando Alonso, will be racing in the following season. Ron Dennis, the president of McLaren, will be accompanying the Spanish driver in the presentation of the new single-seater.

The circuit designed for the display of the new single-seater will go around the City of Arts and Sciences and some ten laps are foreseen from l'Umbracle across the bridge of Moteolivet speeding past the sculpture by Miquel Navarro, the Parotet, then taking the Avenida de Francia and then along the same route back to l'Umbracle.

The display is planned for eight o' clock in the evening after which the Cirque du Soleil show will begin. The evening will end with a spectacular firework display.
