STOP THE VIOLENCE IN VALENCIA: POLICE VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN ON THE STREETS OF VALENCIA
High school students recently took part in a peaceful protest in Valencia City to protest against their schools not being paid for electricity or heating. They were taught by their teachers how to protest peacefully. The police turned out in riot gear and treated the kids and parents like criminals. This is now daily life for many students and parents here in Valencia and there has been no media coverage of these attrocities. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS REGIME - MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.
CHIEF OF POLICE ANTONIO MORENO, WHEN ASKED WHETHER HE CONSIDERED THE POLICE RESPONSE "DISPROPORTIONATE" SAID SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF "YOU DON'T GIVE NUMBERS TO YOUR ENEMY".

Benissa Alternative Fair
Benissa Alternative Fair takes place on 15th and 16th September 2007. Ecological and craft products, workshops and talks are combined with music, African dances and Bollywood dances.
The Fair includes a varied programme of workshops adapted to all ages and tastes, amongst which one can find vegetarian cooking, ceramics, yoga, Pilates, corporal expression, caresses, percussion and much more. A specific line of workshops has been included especially for children with themes that go from juggling, puppets, water games, balloon art and make-up. This year's event also proposes talks such as 21st century food or magnetic therapy.
The fair offers ecological food and drinks for lovers of good eating and artisanal products. The workshops are carried out in the fair site as well as in a classroom in the Arts Centre in the street Padre Andrés, where the talks also take place.
The programme of activities also includes the performance by an African music and dance group, a display of Bollywood dances and devil shows.
Saturday 15th
Exhibition and sale of ecological and hand made products from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m
Workshops (Pottery, Yoga, Pilates, Caresses, Dreadlocks-feelting,
“Rie-lacional” & Percusión). For children: face paint, balloon art, juggling, puppets, water games..)
Talks “Problemas articulares y las ayudas naturales“ (Problems with joints and natural aids), “La salud a través de los alimentos: la alimentación del s. XXI” (Healthy eating: nutrition in the 21st century). At 1'30 p.m. Performance of an African music and dance group.
Sunday 16th
Exhibition and sale of ecological and hand made products from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m

Also, live music, Bollywood dance exhibition and DIABLOS show
The workshops will take place at the Cultural Centre and fair itself and the talks at the Cultural Centre C/ Padre Andrés Ivars, 21, 2nd floor.
