STOP THE VIOLENCE IN VALENCIA: POLICE VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN ON THE STREETS OF VALENCIA

High school students recently took part in a peaceful protest in Valencia City to protest against their schools not being paid for electricity or heating. They were taught by their teachers how to protest peacefully. The police turned out in riot gear and treated the kids and parents like criminals. This is now daily life for many students and parents here in Valencia and there has been no media coverage of these attrocities. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS REGIME - MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.

CHIEF OF POLICE ANTONIO MORENO, WHEN ASKED WHETHER HE CONSIDERED THE POLICE RESPONSE "DISPROPORTIONATE" SAID SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF "YOU DON'T GIVE NUMBERS TO YOUR ENEMY".

MR MORENO,  I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU:
ARE CHILDREN YOUR ENEMY? ARE THE PEOPLE OF VALENCIA YOUR ENEMY? IS THIS BUSINESS (WHICH PAYS MORE THAN YOUR ANNUAL WAGES) YOUR ENEMY?

WE CALL FOR THE RESIGNATION OF ANTONIO MORENO, HE'S EVIDENTLY OVERSTRESSED, SLIGHTLY MAD AND CURRENTLY CONTROLLING A DANGEROUS AND VIOLENT FORCE ON THE STREETS OF VALENCIA AGAINST CHILDREN, PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS.

Fallas Fiesta in Elda

Fallas Fiesta in Elda

Enjoy the most characteristic acts of the Fallas, such as the Plantà (Placing) of the monuments, the Floral Offering or the Cremà (Burning), but moved in the calendar to the month of September. This is what happens in Elda where, since 1954, at the end of the summer, with more pleasant temperatures, one can experience one of the most emblematic, traditional and well-known fiestas of the Region of Valencia.

The origins of the Fallas Fiestas are associated with a pagan ritual that commemorates the arrival of Spring halfway through the month of March, but in the Alicante town of Elda they hold their semana grande (local fiestas lasting approximately a week), just at the arrival of autumn and as the culmination of their Patron Saint Feast Days in honour of the Virgen de la Salud and the Cristo del Buen Suceso which start at the beginning of the month.

The events start with the parades of all the Fallas commissions with their standards from the seat of the Junta Central Fallera (Fallas Central Committee) to the Town Hall. During the fiesta, the Plantà of the Falla monuments takes place and the visit of the jury to the fallas (huge ornate cardboard figures which are then traditionally burnt) in order to decide on the marks for the monuments and the prizes, the collecting of the prizes by the Falla commissions and the Cabalgata del Ninot (Cavalcade or mounted procession of the Doll).

On the following day the visit to the Official Falla and the Floral Offering take place, the most touching act of these fiestas, which gives way  to the Cremà (Burning) of all the falla monuments, beginning with the Official Falla. Throughout these days of fiesta there are also passacaglias, verbenas (open-air celebrations on the eve of a saint’s day), contests and the fireworks.
