10th Castellón Costa Azahar-Bancaja Regatta

10th Castellón Costa Azahar-Bancaja Regatta

The élite of the Spanish and European sailing boats will be present in the capital of la Plana for the 10th Castellón Costa Azahar-Bancaja Regatta, from the 8th to the 11th of June.
This regatta counts towards the Spanish Championship for Categories IMS, The RN Spanish Cup for Maritime areas (Valencia and Murcia Area) and the III Memorial Sailing Trophy Juan Moreno of the Autonomous Secretariat of the Generalitat for sport.

The 10th Castellón Costa Azahar-Bancaja Regatta, for boat categories IMS OPEN, IMS 600 LEVEL CLASS, IMS 670 and R.N. Verification boats, is organized by the Real Club Náutico de Castellón (RCNC), la Real Federación Española de Vela (RFEV), in collaboration with La Federación de Vela de la Comunidad Valenciana (FVCV) and the sponsorship of the Excelentísima Diputación Provincial de Castellón and Bancaja.

The Castellón Costa Azahar Regatta has already become an indispensable reference point in the high level regatta calendar of the Real Federación Española de Vela. The first race meeting was held with modest aspirations, on a coastal route. A huge effort was made to raise this regatta into a national category, which would bring the most imposing boats of the moment to Castellón, promoting the province and all its excellent sailing facilities. So the II Castellón Costa Azahar Regatta won national renown, and was considered as a high level race by the Real Federación Española.
